Art project The Cube

The Art organization "Wonderoots" recently invited to an art project called, The Art Cube.
The Art Cube is a four-sided structure geared to showcase local creative talent and designs.
Three of the structure walls will each support a roughly 9 ft. by 9 ft. canvas for live artwork
produced during the event. At the conclusion of each event day, the artwork will be removed
and replaced with a new canvas. A digital screen with curated content and images of
WonderRoot's Off The Wall mural project will be continuously displayed on the final wall.

Site of Location

WonderRoot and the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee’s mission is to shine a light on civil
rights and social justice (past, present, and future), elevating key stories and ideas present in
our city’s pursuit of a more equitable future for all Atlanta residents. The creative theme of
Super Bowl LIII is “A Champion Illuminates the South”, inspired by the bright, bold energy of
Atlanta that illuminates the way to Super Bowl LIII, the brightest moment of the 2018 season.
How can we bring these two themes together to show locals and visitors of Atlanta the true
intersection of community and light? What energy originally shined a light on our city’s civil
rights and human rights past and propelled it into the future? What power do each of us
have to illuminate strife in order to create a brighter future for our city? Artists are
encouraged to explore connections between athletes, sports, and the community – and how
they collectively can lead the way to the light.

Location
Centennial Olympic Park is a 21-acre public park located in downtown Atlanta (265 Park Ave.
W. Atlanta GA 30313), Georgia owned and operated by the Georgia World Congress Center
Authority. The commissioned artwork will be executed in the Super Bowl LIVE Art Cube, which
will be located on site in the park.
I'll be painting Live this Sunday, January 27
from 12 to 7
If you can, please stop by to say hi-hola.
